More gifts
Elise bought herself a big Christmas present today. With money she received from relatives this holiday, and savings she had in the bank for over a year, she now has an ipod touch. Karl and I took her to The Mall. (It was about as bad as you'd think it would be. I brought knitting. That helped.) She looked everything over, asked questions, we had a snack to think about it some more (potato cakes help everything), and she decided to get it. So there it is. Karl helped her load some games and music on it, and she is building a new Sims right now.
My birthday present arrived in the mail while we were at The Mall. I now have a copy of "Classical Tutus for Children." I made tea in our new teapot (for the first time!), and read half the book over two cups. I even used my cottage tea cozy. I'm not sure how soon I'll start a tutu, as I'd like to finish Karl's bag first, but it's nice to have the book to read over while I contemplate it.
Karl and Elise are planning to go skiing tomorrow. Albin and I will sit at home and be quiet. It will be a good day for everyone!
