candy swap

Here's my loot from my first ravelry swap in a long while--and it was a candy swap.  The truffles and toblerone are fast disappearing, and the only things saving the coconut candies is that we haven't broken into the plastic yet.  Must thank my sender, and get crackin' on getting my swappee's stash in the mail...

And it turns out that our camera was apparently sort of a lemon in the first place--surprising for a Canon Powershot, and had we known that, we could have sent it in while it was under warranty.  It was our second of that brand, though, and the first wasn't so great, either, so we thought they were all sort of bad and just limped along.  Now it is truly dead, and we've spent hours trying to figure out what to get next.  Ugh.  It's worse than shopping for clothes.  We might just put a rubber band around my dad's old camera and use that one until it, too, is messed up beyond fixing.  (Right now, the camera works, except for the battery casing flap.)  We shall see--and thanks, Dad, for leaving it here : ).
