Walked the rest of the Freedom Trail in the morning/early afternoon. Mailed a postcard. We'll *definitely* beat it home...no mail on Sunday, and Monday is Columbus Day. Big holiday round these parts.
Here's a view next to one of the old cemeteries...with the Old North Church on one end, and the new bridge on the other end of the street.
Saw the Constitution (from outside the fence, because the line was long), and enjoyed the museum there. Also saw the Bunker Hill monument. Some views from the bottom and top...
Took a ferry across the harbor, to downtown.
Had a couple of hours to spend downtown...walked over to the Shell (where the Pops plays for the Independence Day celebration). We liked this freeway sign. Very descriptive of what might happen if a truck went on this freeway.
Ended up next to the river at sunset. Kind of chilly...wasn't bad, once we had hats+gloves+multiple shirts+windbreakers.
Last thing last night, we saw the Blue Man Group. You know, the guys with the blue heads. Was in a small theater, in the Theater District...I guess that's what they call Night Life! We were out late, and we both slept in...checking out of out B&B, we'll both be enjoying the art museums today. The "Gardner" (as they call it round here), and if that's not enough the MFA. Flight leaves at 8 PM. Hopefully, we'll be home at midnight or so (central time).
