the last half of May
Elise had her ballet recital, we put in two new garden beds (for currants and raspberries), Elise came home from the farmer's market last week looking like a fairy, I sewed a new dress for myself and Elise (only hers in the photo), and Albin's had lots of ultimate practice. We finally found his game schedule. His practices are Mondays, often Thursdays, and Fridays, and game days are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Elise's ballet this summer is also Tuesdays and Thursdays, so we will have to plan carefully for dinner those nights.
Albin has two more Wednesday classes, and Elise has four more days of school--then we can all sleep late again. She was sick for two days last week, and we immediately resumed our schedule of no one but Karl getting up before 8:00.
We stained three boards for a swing in the front yard, but there is some contention of how to put it together, and where in the tree to fasten it. Pictures will be forthcoming. Speaking of pictures, I am hiring Lea to take a family portrait of us sometime this summer. The only other official one we've had of us was years ago. I was taller than Albin and he had very short hair. Time for at least one more before he's out of the house!
