Elise and I had a wonderful time in Texas. We were visiting my Grandma at the same time as my parents, so it was like a family vacation. Here is what we did:
-potluck at the clubhouse the night we arrived (older ladies know how to cook!)
-South Padre Island to play on the beach
-antiqueing at Port Isabel
-bingo at the clubhouse (Elise won a game!)
-bluegrass jam at the clubhouse (Elise borrowed Jeanette's violin)
-street festival in La Feria (yummy cup of beans and Okie ice)
-Scrabble, Zarkle and shuffleboard
-church
-ice cream social
-more games, coffee and ice cream at the house of one of Grandma's friends
-playing with the neighborhood dogsAnd that's about all we can pack into three full days. It was a good trip, and I managed to not get lost or miss a connection at the airports, so all was well!
