Algebra 1 - done

After a long time, Albin finally finished Algebra 1.  (He would have been done faster, but he took a few years to study college and graduate level physics with his friend's granddad-a retired physics professor...talk about throwing him in the deep end.)  Now he can start Algebra 2.  But to celebrate finishing one book, we made him an xkcd-style cake.  Yay, Albin!

He also finished the summer season of ultimate.  Their team really improved over the year, even if they didn't win many games.  It seems likely that they will play again in the league next year.

Elise is back to ballet twice a week.  Her teacher told her she would be on pointe next year.  She is very excited about that.  And that's about all the news around here.  (We are trying to stay cool in this heat--hiding in the basement works pretty well so far.)
