Duluth

I'll post pictures when I get home, but Elise and I have been house sitting up in Duluth for two days now.  Yesterday we went up the North Shore road as far as Two Harbors, and stopped at four different places to get out and play in the water.  It was warm, partly cloudy, and just perfect weather to be in the lake.  There were a few biting flies, but not too bad.  It was great : ).

Today we went to Canal Park and the Great Lakes Aquarium.  They were fun, too.  I thought it would take longer to see all the aquarium, but we were done by 1:30.  There was no cafeteria there, and when we went back to Canal Park for lunch, there was no parking to be had.  So of course we had to drive back up the North Shore road and have lunch at Tom's Logging Camp.  We both had wild rice soup, I had half a tuna sandwich, and Elise ate most of a double ice cream cone (cotton candy and chocolate).  Then we went back to the yarn store and our favorite beach to look for more agates...at least until it was too cold and rainy to stay.  We stopped at one 'collectibles' store on the way home, and now we will sit around knitting and reading.  We are up to chapter fifteen of the new Redwall book.
